Program Details Rotations Rotations are typically longitudinal, varying from 3 to 10 months in length. Hours per week vary by rotation. Required Orientation: 4-6 weeks Staffing Medication Therapy Management Specialty Pharmacy Patient Assistance Oral Chemo Monitoring Program Pharmacy Management Residency Project Ambulatory Care – HIV Clinic Electives Infusion pharmacy: 5 weeks Advanced Ambulatory Care – HIV Clinic Ambulatory Care – Population Health Ambulatory Care – Anticoagulation Clinic Teaching and Learning Certificate Presentations Journal clubs Presentations/in-services Patient education materials Teaching Opportunities In addition to the optional Teaching and Learning Certificate, the resident will have the opportunity to participate in the following: Precept advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs) Participation in VCU School of Pharmacy Foundations Course (i.e. skills lab) Rotation specific education for patients, students, providers and pharmacy staff Projects (In addition to major research project) Business Plan proposal, implementation and evaluation Quality Improvement project proposal, implementation and evaluation Development of a collaborative practice agreement, standing order or implementation of a state-based protocol Conferences ASHP Mid-Year Clinical Meeting (December) Regional residency conference (April-May) Inova Pharmacy Plus PGY1 Community Residency Program Pharmacy Residency PoliciesProgram DetailsApplyContact Us
